![]() Theoretically, the mastering is the process that results in a "Master", which is the final version of a recording before it's transfered to a physical medium (vinyl, cassette, CD, etc.), while controlling that all established norms are respected for the type of medium. We should say "pre-mastering" instead of "Mastering", but everyone says "Mastering", so I'll do the same.
