The Steam Deck unboxing and gameplay video actually seems to be made up from clips of dev kits in action that have been shared by creators such as and while other developers like have also been posting images of the console. The second game appears to be The Universim, which was released in 2018. Serin Fate is the first game to be tested here, and it looks more than presentable on the 7-inch 1280x800 LCD. The overall look of the handheld computer is quite minimalistic, likely to prevent distraction for the user’s eye during intense gaming and, more prosaically, to keep production costs down. The Steam Deck comes in a sturdy-looking case and it is obvious from the outset that the potential Nintendo Switch rival is a substantial piece of kit.
